The essay was published in Vol. 48 No. 1 (2021) of the Chilean Law Review, edited by the Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and in it, the authors point out that it is necessary to distinguish professional secrecy from duty of confidentiality of the lawyer, by way of considering the first as a procedural immunity that makes the second operational, against a request for information by the State.
